Number tracing with dots and directional arrows is a great way to help your students form numbers correctly. To help my students, I designed these tracing worksheets with a super clean look to minimize distractions so they are more likely to focus on writing numbers. Keep these activities fresh and engaging year-round by pairing them with crayons or colored pencils so your students can “rainbow write” the numbers. “Rainbow writing” is a rote practice learning method that uses repetition to reinforce proper number formation. Students trace the numbers several times using different colors to create a cool rainbow effect. I love changing out the colors for the holidays and seasons to add some interest to this already familiar activity. For example, for Halloween, I put out green, orange, purple, gray, and black colored pencils!
