Alphabet handwriting worksheets can become boring when the newness wears off, but if you add some simple coloring to your tracing worksheets alphabet practice can be a win-win! As with many of my center activities, I am a firm believer that changing out something simple can make a huge difference! For example, switching out your handwriting activities or even changing their writing implements to match the seasons and holidays is a great way of getting your kiddos engaged and interested in an otherwise rote practice learning activity. A Halloween pencil or a pack of colored pencils can go a long way, teacher-friend! I’ve gathered some of my favorites below for you, keep scrolling to check them out!

Alphabet Handwriting Worksheets and Coloring Pages
Practice tracing the alphabet and proper letter formation with these ice cream handwriting practice sheets! Your kiddos will love coloring the awesome ice cream truck and yummy cone with sprinkles!
Tracing Worksheets Alphabet Letter Formation Practice
These letter formation sheets are perfect for reinforcing proper letter formation through repetition. Pair with crayons or colored pencils so your students can “rainbow write” by tracing the letters with each color to create a cool rainbow effect. I love changing out the colors for the holidays and seasons to add some interest to this already familiar activity. For example, for Valentine’s Day, I put out pink, red, yellow, and purple colored pencils.
